Couldn't See Them Coming Down My Eyes

She walked out the door never looking back, he stood there watching her leave. He slowly closed and locked the door signaling the end of another chapter in his life. He threw himself into his work, making enough money to pay off his credits cards, cleaned up his credit and was poised to buy his first house. Her life took a diferent turn, she struggled to make ends meet and she sank deeper into debt. Several times she could not pay her rent and went to him for help. Which he gave her, because even though she left he still loved her. He thought or hoped they would get back together, but she had other plans that did not include him. Even with all her struggles she had plans. He eventually bought his house. And began to make a home for himself. Now your probably thinking she went back to him because of all her struggles. Life with him would be easier, but was she ready for what he wanted. You see he was loking for a teammate, someone he could build with, for he had started laying the foundation. He was steadily growing his networth. And he had set goals for himself, that if she wasn't up to the task she would only slow him down. So they both continued going in seperate directions getting further and further away from each other. As you read about these two individuals you have to ask why didn't he go after her if he still loved her? Why would he let them drift apart? The only answer is because she wasn't ready for what he wanted. He was making his dreams come true, she wanted to do things on her own terms even though their circumstances were different. So while he kept moving forward she continued to struggle. Understand if you both aren't on the same page nothing will work. In todays world you need that teammate. That person that can and will hold you down when everything is falling down around you. That person can be hard to find, but when you do find them make sure you hang on to them.
