Let's Get Rich

I have often wondered what has happened to all the get rich quick schemes I used to see on tv. They used to dominate late or early morning television. Suddenly as they appeared, they vanished. They promised us riches if we just followed their plan. Naturally you wouldn't learn what that plan was if you were unwilling to send them x amount of dollars to receive it. They promised you riches if you followed their plan. You heard testamonials of others who had brought into these plans and were now millionaires. And I loved watching these testamonials, for that reason. Now keep in mind there was no guarantee you would reach the same level of wealth as those selling the plans or the ones giving the testamonials. I always wondered what would have happened if I had actually brought into what they were selling. Being a bit of skeptic I always figured their plan was getting me to order the books, dvds or listings they were selling and that was how they actually got rich. Mainly because if you're telling me my results may vary, just didn't sit right with me. And yes I also understand and recognize that if I didn't commit to the same level or put in the all work and time needed would be factor into my not achieving the same results. So needless to say I kept my money in my pocket. Now those same schemes can be found on the internet. Always running the same line "Would you like to work from home?". And again they want you to send money to acquire a list, books or dvds. Instead of seeing and hearing the testamonials, you now get to read them. And don't forget if you order now they will slash the price. Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to knock anyone's hustle but I have come to the realization there is no real easy way to get rich. Finding jobs that allow you to work from home though are a whole different matter. But they aren't in place to make you rich, they just allow you to work from home which many of us would love to do. Also I won't tell you that you can't get rich from these things, but I will tell you to research them thoroughly before sending them your money. Because if they do have a money back guarantee you will probably have to jump thorugh hoops to get your money back. And in closing remember A Fool and His Money Are Soon Parted.
